Citizen Watch raises full-year net profit forecast to 32 billion yen
Citizen Watch on the 14th revised upward its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to 32 billion yen, up 2.9% year on year, from the previous forecast of 27.5 billion yen. Sales in the watch business and machine tool business exceeded plans, and the device business also performed well, with the result exceeding the average analyst forecast of 29.8 billion yen compiled by IBES from six analysts. The company also raised its annual dividend forecast to 53 yen from the previous forecast of 50 yen, compared with 47 yen paid in the prior year. First-quarter net profit for April to June fell 2.9% year on year to 8.9 billion yen, but in the mainstay watch business the Citizen and Bulova brands performed well, mainly in the North American market, while in the machine tool business robust semiconductor-related demand continued at home and abroad, and aircraft-related orders also increased in North America and Europe.
