Lenovo's first fiscal quarter revenue hits record high, net profit tops $1 billion for the first time

Lenovo Group disclosed its first fiscal quarter results, with revenue reaching a record high, its server business surging, and AI becoming the core growth engine. Revenue for the quarter was 183.4 billion yuan, up 43 percent year on year. Adjusted net profit exceeded the 1 billion US dollar mark for the first time, equivalent to more than 7.3 billion yuan, up 176 percent year on year. Adjusted net profit margin nearly doubled year on year to 4.0 percent. The Infrastructure Solutions Group saw revenue rise 98 percent year on year to 57.9 billion yuan, with an operating margin of 9.1 percent. The Intelligent Devices Group posted revenue of 116.4 billion yuan, and its PC market share gap widened for the tenth consecutive quarter. The Solutions and Services Group revenue grew 28 percent year on year to 19.6 billion yuan, with an operating margin above 24 percent. AI-related business revenue accelerated to 63.4 billion yuan, up 60 percent year on year. Boosted by this, computing power hardware stocks continued to climb in the afternoon session. Cambridge Technology, Olympic Circuit Technology, and Chunqiu Electronics hit their daily limit up. US AI server suppliers rose in overnight trading, with Dell Technologies up more than 4 percent.
