BuzzFeed jumped 14.2% after unveiling a restructuring plan that will eliminate about 35% of its workforce across its BuzzFeed, HuffPost and Tasty brands. ProMIS Neurosciences announced positive blinded six-month interim safety and biomarker results from its Phase 1b PRECISE-AD trial of PMN310 in Alzheimer's disease. In the blinded analysis of 136 patients, no cases of amyloid-related imaging abnormalities-edema were observed across all genotypes, including APOE4 homozygotes, and total ARIA was 4.4 percent, all mild and asymptomatic microhemorrhages. On a blinded basis, 68.5 percent of patients showed a decline in plasma pTau217 and 62.5 percent showed a decline in CSF MTBR-tau243, consistent with potential target engagement and possibly reflecting the trial's 3-to-1 active-to-placebo randomization. The company expects unblinded 12-month topline results, including efficacy data, in the first quarter of 2027.

ProMIS Neurosciences reported the first human evidence that its lead Alzheimer's drug candidate, PMN310, can reduce toxic amyloid-beta oligomers in cerebrospinal fluid. In a Phase 1a trial, healthy volunteers showed a dose-dependent reduction in amyloid-beta oligomers detectable at both 3 and 29 days after dosing. The company presented the findings at the AAIC 2026 conference, noting that PMN310 selectively targets oligomers without binding to plaques, potentially reducing side effects like ARIA. ProMIS plans to use this assay in its ongoing PRECISE-AD Phase 1b trial in Alzheimer's patients, with six-month blinded interim data expected in the coming weeks and top-line unblinded results in early Q1 2027. The stock closed Monday at $12.80, down 10.18%, but rose 12.50% to $14.40 in pre-market trading.
