Animal Longevity Summit to hold first global scientific forum on healthy aging in animals

The Animal Longevity Summit has announced its inaugural two-day scientific conference, taking place October 1–2, 2026, in Toronto. The event will bring together leading experts in geroscience, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, and aging research to explore how the biology of aging can be measured, slowed, and translated into longer, healthier lives, beginning with animals. The summit arrives as landmark initiatives such as the Dog Aging Project and a growing number of veterinary clinical trials generate the first large-scale datasets on interventions to improve healthspan and longevity in companion animals. The conference program will feature eight scientific tracks covering canine longevity, comparative biology of aging, biomarkers, longevity interventions, veterinary geroscience, cross-species translation to human health, and emerging research from early-career scientists. The inaugural speaker lineup includes Dr. Matt Kaeberlein of the Dog Aging Project, Dr. Vera Gorbunova of the University of Rochester, Dr. Aubrey de Grey of the LEV Foundation, Dr. Varun Dwaraka of TruDiagnostic, Liz Parrish of BioViva, and Dr. Raghav Sehgal of Yale, with additional speakers to be announced. Industry participation is also expected, with Genflow Biosciences confirming it will present new findings from its SLAB study investigating gene therapy in aged beagles.
