Carrefour first-half earnings climb 18% as sales rise
Carrefour reported an 18.3% increase in adjusted earnings per share to €0.49 for the first half, with like-for-like sales up 2.1% to €43.8 billion. Recurring operating income grew 4% to €757 million, driven by gains in France, Spain, and Brazil. The company confirmed its full-year 2026 targets, including high single-digit growth in adjusted earnings per share and more than 25 basis points of operating margin expansion. Carrefour also announced an interim special dividend of €0.21 per share following the disposal of its Romania operations.
