Advanced Energy Industries Shifts to Russell 1000 and Midcap Index in Late June 2026 Rebalance

Advanced Energy Industries was rebalanced across the Russell index family in late June 2026, moving out of several small-cap indices and into multiple large- and mid-cap benchmarks, including the Russell 1000 and Russell Midcap Index. This migration signals that the company is now being classified more as a larger, value- and growth-oriented entity, potentially broadening its exposure to institutional investors who track these indices. The shift does not fundamentally change the core near-term story, where the key catalyst remains AI data center demand and the biggest risk is hyperscaler spending and semiconductor cycle sensitivity. The recent launch of Advanced Energy's high-efficiency ADH DC-DC converters for AI data centers ties directly into that catalyst, positioning the company's technology in the power-hungry AI server rack trend. Some analysts project revenue of about $3.0 billion and earnings near $657.1 million by 2029, though views on Thailand factory utilization and AI power demand risks vary from the consensus.
