Nitto Denko to invest 28 billion yen in boosting HDD component production to meet AI data center demand

Nitto Denko will invest 28 billion yen in manufacturing circuit boards for hard disk drives by fiscal 2028, Nikkei reported, and the company's shares rebounded after four days of declines. It will spend 15 billion yen on adding production lines at its Vietnam plant and the remaining 13 billion yen on automation and digitalization at each site, raising production capacity by 40 percent compared with fiscal 2025.
