Kyocera raises full-year net profit forecast to 160 billion yen

Kyocera announced on the 30th that it has revised upward its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, from the previous 141 billion yen to 160 billion yen, a 13.5 percent increase year-on-year. This exceeded the average net profit forecast of 137.8 billion yen from 16 analysts compiled by IBES. The company also reported first-quarter consolidated net profit for the April to June period of 60.5 billion yen, up 63.1 percent from a year earlier, as demand expanded ahead of schedule in AI and semiconductor-related markets, and the weaker yen also pushed results above expectations. Revenue grew in core components and electronic parts, driven by robust demand for semiconductor packages and capacitors for AI data centers. For the second quarter from July to September, Kyocera expressed concerns about the continued uncertain economic environment stemming from rising raw material prices and geopolitical risks.
