Acryl 2026 Interim Report: New Capacity Release Drives Revenue Surge, Loss Widens Year on Year
Acryl released its 2026 interim report on August 26. Supported by the release of new capacity at its Qianjiang base and growth in optical materials sales, revenue climbed sharply. However, due to intense competition in the polyether amine industry and rising raw material costs, the net loss attributable to the parent company widened. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of 299 million yuan, up 39.93 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent company was negative 21 million yuan, compared with negative 5 million yuan in the same period last year. Net profit after deducting non-recurring items was negative 22 million yuan. Net cash flow from operating activities was negative 653,900 yuan, a significant improvement from negative 76.0881 million yuan in the same period last year. Fatty amines and optical materials are the core sources of revenue. Sales volume of small-specification polyether amine reached 3,183 tonnes in the first half of the year, up about 24 percent year on year. Optical materials sales volume exceeded 3,300 tonnes, up about 34.5 percent year on year, hitting a record high. The reasons for the widening loss include fierce competition in the polyether amine market, selling price increases that lagged cost increases, and higher share-based payment expenses that drove research and development expenses up 137.97 percent year on year to 15.3391 million yuan. The company's new product, cyclic olefin copolymer, has achieved small-batch sales, but the scale is still small and its contribution to profit is limited.
