Bank of Hangzhou's 2026 interim net profit reaches 12.813 billion yuan, up 9.87% year on year

Bank of Hangzhou released its 2026 interim report, recording a net profit attributable to the parent company of 12.813 billion yuan, up 9.87% from the same period last year. Total operating revenue was 21.048 billion yuan, up 4.75% year on year, marking a fifth consecutive year of growth. Net cash flow from operating activities was negative 34.558 billion yuan. The asset-liability ratio stood at 92.96%, down 0.06 percentage points from the previous quarter. The latest return on equity was 8.59%, up 0.06 percentage points year on year, and diluted earnings per share were 1.70 yuan. The number of shareholders was 59,000, and the top ten shareholders held a combined 3.955 billion shares, accounting for 54.56% of total share capital.

China adds 8 banks to digital yuan network

China's central bank has added 8 banks to the digital yuan network, bringing the total number of e-CNY service providers to 30. The newly added banks include Ping An Bank, Hengfeng Bank, China Bohai Bank, Bank of Shanghai, Bank of Hangzhou, Huishang Bank, Bank of Changsha, and Guangxi Beibu Gulf Bank, according to a Xinhua News Agency report. These banks will connect to the People's Bank of China's digital yuan system and begin providing services after completing operational and technical preparations. This network expansion follows the addition of 12 financial institutions in April, when previously only 10 banks had been approved as operators, with Industrial Bank being the latest to join in 2022.

Zhang Jingke Approved as Director and Vice Chairman of Bank of Hangzhou, Completing Three Key Appointments This Year

The Zhejiang Bureau of the National Financial Regulatory Administration has approved Zhang Jingke's qualifications to serve as a director and vice chairman of Bank of Hangzhou. Zhang was previously approved as president of Bank of Hangzhou in February this year, meaning all three major appointments for the year have now been finalized. Born in August 1978, Zhang has served as vice president of the bank's technology sub-branch, president of its cultural and creative sub-branch, general manager of the asset management department, general manager of the technology, cultural and creative finance division, general manager of the human resources department, deputy party secretary, and vice president. Bank of Hangzhou was founded in 1996 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2016. By the end of 2025, its total assets exceeded 2.3 trillion yuan, with a non-performing loan ratio of 0.76 percent. In the first quarter of 2026, it achieved operating revenue of 10.406 billion yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of 6.629 billion yuan.
