Datang Telecom subsidiary wins first-instance contract dispute, awarded approximately 19.79 million yuan

Datang Microelectronics, a subsidiary of Datang Telecom, has won the first-instance trial in a sales contract dispute with Wuhan Tianyu Information Industry. The court ordered Wuhan Tianyu to pay approximately 18.03 million yuan in outstanding payments and about 1.76 million yuan in liquidated damages, totaling around 19.79 million yuan, and dismissed all of Wuhan Tianyu's counterclaims. The dispute arose from chip and module procurement agreements signed between the two parties during 2023 and 2024. Datang Microelectronics completed delivery but Wuhan Tianyu still owed payment. Datang Microelectronics originally sought approximately 23.6 million yuan in its claim, while Wuhan Tianyu counterclaimed for about 190,000 yuan.
