Wedbush Flags Surprising Move in Intel GPU Prices
Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson says Intel's Arc Pro B70 workstation GPU has risen as much as 48% in price over the past month, providing fresh evidence that surging memory costs are being passed through to customers. The card carries 32GB of GDDR6 ECC memory, making it particularly exposed to the tightening memory market and attractive for AI inference workloads. Per Tom's Hardware, the Arc Pro B70 has seen prices rise 30% in the US, with the ASRock Creator variant now at $1,299 versus $999 last month against a $949 MSRP, 26% in Germany, and 46% in Korea, where it moved from KRW 1,889,980 on July 21 to KRW 2,798,980 by August 16. Intel's own Korean list price has climbed to KRW 2.817 million. In its latest quarterly filing, Intel said Data Center and AI server average selling prices increased 48% year over year during the second quarter, driven mainly by a richer mix of premium products and, to a lesser extent, pricing actions designed to offset higher input costs.
