Chuanning Biology's First-Half Revenue and Net Profit Both Decline; Can Multiple Breakthroughs Lift Full-Year Performance?

Chuanning Biology saw both revenue and net profit decline in the first half of the year. The company is seeking to turn its full-year performance positive through smart production line upgrades, overseas market expansion, and cutting-edge technology research and development. In the first half, the company achieved operating revenue of approximately 2.098 billion yuan, down 10.68 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was approximately 278 million yuan, down 38.99 percent year on year. Non-GAAP net profit was approximately 272 million yuan, down 40.45 percent year on year. The decline in performance was mainly due to lower penicillin product prices, but the company said that as downstream demand recovers, prices of its main products have shown a sustained upward trend. Overseas, the company obtained an Indian drug registration certificate for primary crystal penicillin G potassium salt, officially gaining legal market access qualification in India. In addition, several of the company's key technology research and development projects are progressing steadily, and the phased results will lay the foundation for product delivery in 2026 and beyond.
