Meorient International Swings to Loss in First Half as Dubai Exhibition Cancellation Weighs on Results

Meorient International released its semi-annual report for 2026, showing operating revenue of 169 million yuan and a net loss attributable to the parent company of 14.7633 million yuan, swinging from profit to loss compared with the same period last year. The decline was mainly caused by the cancellation of a large offline exhibition originally planned for June in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, a one-off factor. Excluding this one-time disruption, the company successfully held five China brand overseas joint exhibitions in Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Poland in the first half, attracting more than 1,700 exhibiting companies, with total exhibition area exceeding 70,000 square meters and over 90,000 professional buyers attending. The company is accelerating the construction of an AI-powered full-chain service platform for going global, investing 30 million yuan in the Huayue Chuangzhi fund and 150 million yuan directly in Stepfun, with which it reached a strategic cooperation. Its controlling subsidiary Aochuang Tianxia launched the Xingqing AI video marketing solution, which has signed more than 60 clients. Its self-developed AI exhibition intelligent matchmaking platform is being jointly developed with AI glasses company Li Weike Technology, enabling real-time interpretation in 128 languages. The company said the Dubai exhibition cancellation caused a temporary disruption to current results, but the core exhibition business is expanding in Southeast Asia through a twice-yearly exhibition model and using Poland as a foothold to open the European market, while its AI layout is being implemented across models, agents, and hardware, and a three-in-one service ecosystem for going global is taking shape at an accelerating pace.
