DeNA First Quarter Net Income Jumps to ¥33.4 Billion Despite Lower Sales

DeNA reported first quarter net income of ¥33,438 million for the period ended June 30, 2026, a sharp increase from ¥11,203 million a year earlier, even as sales declined to ¥37,166 million from ¥41,727 million. The company’s board has been considering a treasury stock cancellation and revising internal controls. The share price stood at ¥2,462, with a popular narrative suggesting a fair value of ¥2,650 per share, implying modest undervaluation, while a discounted cash flow model points to a fair value of ¥1,379.53, indicating the stock may be expensive. DeNA’s sports business is seen as a growing and diversified revenue base, but heavy reliance on a few flagship gaming titles and revenue pressure in live streaming pose risks to the valuation narrative.
