The company's Diagnostic Services comprise various tests, including allergy and autoimmune diagnostics, bacteriology, parasitology, biochemistry and immunochemistry, blood group diagnostics/transfusion medicine, tumour markers, clinical chemistry, cytology, haematology, histopathology, human genetics, hygiene, immunology and immunochemistry, infectious diseases, microbiology, molecular biology, and pharmacology/toxicology. It serves corporate, individuals, and public sector clients. Medicover AB (publ) was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

KKR to acquire Medicover India from Medicover AB

KKR has signed definitive agreements to acquire Medicover India, the hospital operations of Medicover AB. Medicover India operates a multi-specialty network of 24 hospitals with approximately 4,800 beds across South and West India, providing care in over 80 clinical specialties with more than 1,900 doctors. KKR said the investment reflects confidence in India's healthcare ecosystem and aligns with the National Health Policy 2017. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, and further details were not disclosed. Medicover AB's stock rose 8.07% to SEK 241.

KKR enters advanced talks to acquire Medicover's India hospital stake for at least US$1.05 billion

KKR has entered advanced talks to acquire Sweden-based Medicover's 66.9% stake in its Indian hospital business for at least US$1.05 billion. The firm also reported quarter-to-date monetization income above US$900 million, mostly from realized performance fees. Starting in the second quarter of 2026, KKR will align its reporting of realized performance fees with industry practice, a shift that may help investors better assess the quality and sustainability of its earnings.
